Well is it really remembering if you never forgot? His voice, scratchy and painful but he couldn't stop. He just yelled until he couldn’t anymore.Ĭalming himself down from the fit he sobbed more quietly. God, bokuto, his life, the world, the universe. Nothing more than just aimless screaming. He sobbed until his throat couldn't make any more sound. He sobbed as he felt his lungs give out causing a coughing fit. “ju- just a dre-“ a sob cut him off as he snapped at the pillow pulling it into his arms. He sat up further and looked at the pillow. He opened his eyes further to inspect the object.Īkaashi blinked some more remembering where he was. He blinked softly, opening his eyes to the stinging sunlight.Įxpecting warmth he was met with nothing. “keiji” bokuto sobbed silently as akaashi dropped into nothing.Īkaashi was greeted again by the familiar feeling of warmth on his face. He felt his essence soak through the mattress leaving his body until he was under the bed.Īkaashi?!” he asked again more frantic, reaching for the body but his hands just sunk into it as if it was just a sheet. but in all honesty akaashi couldn’t care less.Īkaashi woulc have been complete if they could of just stayed like that forever.Īkaashi felt himself being pulled down into the bed. They sat in silence bokuto's tears dampening akaashis shirt. “I am yours,” akaashi said as he squeezed the other. He wrapped his arms softly around the others figure as he slowly came down. “kotaro-“ akaashi said as he sat up to meet the trembling man's torso. “it wasn’t supposed to happen like this” he continued now aggressively rubbing his eyes. “i'm sorry you can't stay.” bokuto said now wiping his own eyes.Īkaashi eyes dried up slightly as he sat up. “in another life you could have been here.” “no you're not, stop lying to me” akaashi sobbed. “im still here keiji” bokuto said softly. “i- i know.” bokuto said, sitting up higher. the word died coming out trembling, as if he was just realizing it now. Keiji was eight years too late.“you died!” akaashi spat out. Keiji had done it, saving thousands of families from future grief and pain- saving everyone but himself. In one of the documents lies the cure to Fatal Familial Insomnia. His hands clutch what used to be a blanket along with countless folders and documents. Just one more chance to prevent Koutarou from dying, one more chance to give him all his love, one more chance to make everything right. “ Please,” He prays and screams for the gods to give him one more chance. Residents reported to have seen a young man with black hair at the site. Now, it truly was an empty and ghosted graveyard. That was, until parents expressed their safety concerns and children were barred from entering the area. They described him as a being of pure remorse, and this garnered their curiosity they would keep a lookout for him in public.Ģnd October, 2023: The demolished site of what once was a hospital was pretty popular with the children. Onlookers reported to have seen a young man with black hair watching the demolition from afar- and with only a tattered cloth clutched in his hands. A cure had been found for Fatal Familial Disease- and for once, the hospital could be put to rest. He hurled the mug out of the window and it shattered into pieces.Īnd so Keiji and Koutarou’s story came to a close.Ģnd October, 2020: Was the date of demolition of the hospital. The child- instead of viewing this as a message from god, grew scared that he was being haunted. The wrapper of strawberry pocky being ripped open. A soft voice and fond chastising about how the snow was too cold. So he put the mug to his ear, and listened.Ī panicked voice of an older patient trying to escape the grip of death. But the child had read about it in storybooks, and deemed that the mug was a pretty accurate representation of a seashell. The child had never been to the beach, and probably never would. He found the mug and put it to his ear like people do with seashells. It is possible that when a child without much time left to their life finally occupied the old room, he found that mug. The mug was soon coated with dust, untouched and unused- cracks at the edges and colour wearing off. Those who had personally tended to the duo knew of their tragic fate, and perhaps out of sympathy had left the mug in place. They described him as a being of pure riveting anger and exhaustion, and this garnered their curiosity they would keep a lookout for his return.Įventually, the nurses stopped wondering when he would come back to retrieve his coffee mug. 2nd of October, 2015: Patients reported to have seen a young man with black hair leaving the hospital with only a blanket clutched in his hands.

Here’s my whole roasted lemon thyme chicken with gluten free croutons that’s both weeknight and dinner party worthy. The sauce just ran across the entire plate. I said delicious, people. Last night we had roasted carrots and steamed broccoli on the side. Not just sort of but it was delicious! If I were Whole30 right now, it’s also good to remember this chicken without the croutons is always a great option. Especially when we all have the original memory to compare. We’ve just done our personal experiments over here resulting in the inability to go back to sooo much bread. For months I’ve wanted to try a roasted chicken with gf croutons, but it’s always a risk taking a favorite recipe and removing the gluten. This oven whole chicken recipe is keto, low carb and healthy. Now I am really NOT here to convince you to eat gluten free. Lemon Thyme Toast Chicken makes a tender, fresh and juicy chicken dinner. In this particular recipe, you set a roasted chicken on a bed of crunchy homemade croutons to soak up the juices. The ONLY thing keeping me from eating Ina’s Lemon Chicken with Croutons all the time has been the bread. I kind of am because I care and love to share good things, but I do understand that one can be satisfied with plain chicken when we all weigh different wants and needs. I’ve personally found it worth liking the taste of my food (and look forward to my next meal!) when making boring food takes just as much time. Done.Ĥ. Want to feel accomplished? Roast a whole chicken.īut I’m not here to convince you. No gravy making, no stirring over a stove, no crazy amount of dishes. It drips and roasts itself into this amazing sauce while you do many other things with your time. If a roasted butter sauce sounds good, well you should smell it all afternoon.ģ. It usually requires very few additional ingredients – in this case: lemon, onion, thyme, garlic, and butter.Ģ. INGREDIENTS One 3-4 pound farm chicken lemon, cut into 3 wedges 6 shallots, peeled and halved lengthwise Fresh thyme 1 tablespoon butter Course sea salt. But the jalapeño peppers steal the show here. This creates a crispy, golden-brown crust that locks in the juiciness before roasting in the oven. If I were here to try and convince you, this is what I might say:ġ. If you love spicy food, this dish is a must-try The chicken thighs are seared to perfection in a hot cast-iron skillet. Now I know some of you think you will never make a whole roasted chicken, or that’s what you are saying right now as you skip the rest of this post. It’s one of those low investment/high return kind of cooking accomplishments. Years ago I made my first roasted chicken following one of Ina Garten’s recipes to a T. Say what? Crunchy yummy gluten free croutons.īut first, let’s talk about roasting whole chickens. Rub the reminder of butter over the chicken. I finally risked it and made a whole roasted chicken with gluten free croutons. Make the brine, by mixing warm water with the salt and honey in a large glass bowl or baking dish stir until the salt and honey are dissolved. Using your hands, remove the skin from the chicken breast and add the above mixture into the gap. Open a bolt little bit, put the wire under it and screw the bolt back.Ģ1. Connect the black wire (negative) to the body. You can check that DIY as well, it was a fun project. You can also get fuse tap to connect these wires as they are much safer. To hardwire it, we will connect the wire to the 12 VCC just like I did when I hardwired my car's dashcam. I wanted to turn on the fog lamp even when the car is off, so I hardwired it. Now, you have two option, you can hardwire it or not. The red wire from relay (positive) will be connected to fuse box. Connect the red wire to the relay using a thimble.ġ9. In the above pic the switch is upside down but don't worry, I fixed it after taking the photo.ġ8. Pull the wire of switch from behind the panel and through the hole and connect wire and switch. So, to tackle this I cut a hole in the dummy button and installed the switch on it.ġ7. When I tried to put the switch on the switchboard I found out that the switch is a little smaller than the dummy button and the switch falls in it. Push the dummy button on the switchboard from behind to take it out.ġ6. (Note: Don't pull it impatiently and quickly otherwise you will break the wire behind the panel.)ġ5. Unscrew it, keep it on side safely and remove the panel. Just press in the center and it will pop open.ġ4. There is no screw in this, you just need to remove the clip. Remove this panel on the bottom right, so that we can remove the panel above it and can get access to switch board. This wire is going to be used in the switch and connect to a relay.ġ3. Punch a hole in the firewall grommet and pass the red wire through it. Connect the connectors to the fog lamp.ġ2. (Note: Make sure the screw given for levelling the light should be downward so in case you want to move it up or down a little you can easily do it.)ġ1. Install the fog lamp on the bumper with the help of screws. After cutting the circle, the edges of the bezel would be very rough. But if you don't want to do this, you can just buy it too. Use a hot blade/knife and use it to cut a circle in the bezel. Using pry tool, remove the bezel from the front of the bumperħ. Remove the screws of the bezel from the back of the bumper. Now, disengage the locks on the side of bumper and pull the bumper out by holding it from the top. Remove number plate and a bolt mentioned as number 6.ĥ. Remove the screws on both the sides of the bumper under fender.Ĥ. Remove the nuts using 10 number spanner and remove the screws using a phillips head screwdriver and keep them at a safe place.ģ. Remove the three clips and keep them safely.Ģ. If you are someone who understands better by watching video or if you get stuck somewhere, you can watch this video.ġ. Saying that let's get into installing the fog lamp. The project takes some effort but it is worth it and once you have installed the fog light your eyes will shine as bright as the light you installed with pride. I bought H8 connector instead of PSX24W connector because the latter one was pretty expensive. This connector will fit in this lamp too without any issues. The connector in this wiring kit is H8 connector. This wire kit ensures that you don't need to make a single cut in any of the wire! This ensures that warranty remains as it is. The set included a switch (same as what you get when you buy top model or get it installed), a relay, an inbuilt fuse and all the connectors pre-attached. Now, you can bring wires and make your own wire set or you can buy it online just like I did. This fog lamp includes a feature that allows you to adjust the direction of the light a little up and down manually by tightening or loosening a screw. Each one costed around a thousand rupees. This is the same lamp Maruti uses in its cars. I bought Lumax fog lamps with PSX24W Halogen Bulb 12V 24W. And with some efforts even you can do it. I decided that instead of looking for other cheaper options I would just do it myself. I tried to get it installed from near-by mechanics but they were charging a lot of money. Both of these options are a little expensive. You either have to go for the top model or get it installed separately. Almost all of the car companies don't provide this feature in their lower variant cars. Fog lamps are a crucial part of driver's safety. I have been driving it for around 4 years without fog lamps. I own Wagon R LXI with CNG pre-installed. Fog lamps in Wagon R without cutting wire I would go with my frozen pizza with added vegetables, your best local pizza place, or making it yourself. My suggestion? If you need a quick dinner, pizza is a good choice. I hear the hand tossed crust is pretty good, but I can't waste the calories on trying this pizza again. It was a pre-frozen crust that reminded me of frozen pizza. But, the crust still tasted like cardboard (I think it was cardboard). So back to my spinach, red pepper option - my first question is where are the spinach and red peppers? Does that seem like a really small amount to you? I want lots of veggies on my pizza because I consider pizza to be a vegetable delivery device (not unlike tortilla chips).Īnd the taste? The good news is that the sauce tastes much better - lots of flavor and a bit spicy. The sodium number here is out of control because this is just for one slice and you are looking at 22% of your daily value of sodium. Here is the nutritional information for that same slice with hand tossed crust and the normal amount of cheese:Ģ40 calories, 9 g fat, 34 g carbohydrates, 10 g protein, 2 g fiber, 540 mg sodium, 7 Points+ Not bad! I DID try to order the healthiest option. Let's start with the facts for one slice (1/8th of large pie) of pizza:ġ75 calories, 8 g fat, 19 g carbohydrates, 6 g protein, 1 g fiber, 300 mg sodium, 5 Points+ And I could end the review here because I think that says a lot about this pizza (but I won't :) Yes, you heard me $6.21 including tax for a large pizza with two toppings. Here is the photo of the large, light cheese, thin crust, spinach, and roasted red pepper pizza that I ordered and paid $6.21 for: Pizza is a pretty good choice when as compared to other fast foods like french fries AND you can get it with lots of healthy vegetables. There is nothing inherently unhealthy about pizza. Also, I like that their site features their nutritional information (scroll to the bottom of the home page) - and you can use it to figure out what you want to order see here: Calculate Calories Domino's Pizza. Never the less, I decided to give the new Domino's a try because I had hope that were going to pull it off. I can't say it arrived faster or was cheaper than Domino's but my values are a bit different. I have ALWAYS been able to find pizza that tastes better. But, my problem is that everywhere I have lived (including the South) there has been a better local option to Domino's. Their year long marketing campaign has featured the fact that their pizza is made with REAL food (not processed garbage) and made fresh. No one seemed to care how it tasted or if it was good for you. The whole concept of Domino's has been that they can get you a cheap meal in 30 minutes or less. (you can see their ads on the Pizza Turnaround website) My tasting notes ran something like: cardboard, ketchup, bland cheese with the consistency of glue. Actually, I had to laugh when I saw their commercials because they reflected EXACTLY what I thought of Domino's pizza from the single time I tasted it. The United States has used strikes in both “declared” theaters of operations such as Afghanistan and Iraq, as well as “undeclared” theaters of operations including Pakistan, Somalia, and Yemen. Why the current drone strategy should changeĪrmed drones have been a signature of U.S. The blue shading coincides with the Obama administration, which adopted the near certainty standard in 2011, according to our research resulting in a dramatic reduction of civilian casualties during U.S. The plotted values represent the midpoint of minimum and maximum casualty estimates provided by the BIJ data. This graph displays cumulative total, civilian, and combatant casualties from 2002-19 using data retrieved from the BIJ. Our research suggests that Obama’s policy shift drastically reduced civilian casualties in Pakistan, offering a possible guidebook for how to minimize the type of civilian deaths witnessed in late August. President Donald Trump relaxed Obama’s restrictive targeting protocol in favor of the more permissive “reasonable” certainty standard for civilian causalities, initially adopted by the Bush administration. Shortly following his inauguration in 2017, former U.S. The policy shift enabled Obama to instill higher degrees of morality and legality into the drone strike approval process, which was also important to rehabilitate the United States’ image abroad given its “ quasi-secretive” use of drones. That is, the data obscures the number of civilian casualties deemed acceptable during any given strike, which is a politically motivated calculation that shapes the overall rate of killing.īetween 20, the Obama administration implemented a “near certainty” standard of no civilian casualties during strikes in undeclared theaters of operations. What the data doesn’t show is variation in the targeting standard for U.S. Of these, between 800 and 1,750 are thought to have been civilians. strikes in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Somalia, and Yemen from 2002 to 2020 killed between 10,000 and 17,000 people. According to the Bureau of Investigative Journalism (BIJ), for instance, U.S. Indeed, widely available data reflects the prevalence of civilian casualties resulting from U.S. Based on 3,000 documents disclosed by the Pentagon, the study alleges to have identified “an institutional acceptance of an inevitable collateral toll” during U.S. This Essay traces the distance between principle and practice with respect to four aspects of that program: the premise of a world-ranging armed conflict, the scope of who can be targeted, the Administration’s continued withholding of information, and its opposition to judicial review.A recent report suggests that the botched strike is indicative of a larger trend. Department of Defense, articulated several sound statements of principle and policy, but none account for the Obama Administration’s targeted killing program. In discussing the Administration’s counterterrorism strategy during his ad- dress at Yale Law School in February 2012, Jeh Johnson, then the General Counsel of the U.S. Indeed, the CIA still maintains in litigation that the program’s very existence is a secret that it can neither confirm nor deny. The program that President Obama claims to keep tethered “on a very tight leash” has nonetheless killed between 2,000 and 4,000 people, according to various estimates, though the Administration refuses to release its own data. military, these operations target individuals not just in the battlefield in Afghanistan, but also routinely or increasingly in Pakistan, Yemen, Somalia, and perhaps beyond. Conducted by the CIA and the covert Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) of the U.S. As high-ranking Administration officials have discussed, the government may conduct such killings on the premise of a global armed conflict with al Qaeda, the Taliban, and “associated forces,” and as a matter of national self-defense. The United States has carried out dozens of operations in Yemen as part of an expanding program of “targeted killing.” While the government deployed cruise missiles in the strike in al-Majalah in 2009 and today relies largely on unmanned drones in targeted killing operations, its underlying claim of authority is the same-that pursuant to the Authorization for the Use of Military Force passed by Congress in response to 9/11 and pursuant to international law, the United States may kill suspected terrorists outside of the usual constraints on the use of lethal force, potentially anywhere targets may be found. Goose Lame Wire Monkey Bread Lame Risen Flour Goose Lame 38.99 Quantity Add to cart The Goose’s curved stick is extremely popular amongst bakers as it gives excellent handling over your scoring. The razor is wrapped in paper inside the lame when you receive it. One Japanese Feather Hi-Stainless Platinum coated double edge blade included. Handmade and designed by me in the good old USA. No more lost blades (if you are a blade holder, you know what I'm talking about). Blade is easily stored inside for safety. Here are some of the benefits of the UFO Lame: The stainless hardware is custom and the screw features a ball end for comfort. The UFO Corbeau is matte black and the texture is addictive to the touch. It is durable and the perfect material for kitchen use. Number four in the UFO line up is made from 100% recycled paper. The Japanese Feather Hi-Stainless Platinum coated double edge blade is stored safely in the lame. And though I’m not one of those “Buy Only American” types of folks, I do want to support artisans where I can and not the companies that rip off designs. The WireMonkey UFO bread lame provides ultimate fine control for scoring your bread in a compact ambidextrous design. There are lots of cheaper alternatives that do the same thing. Wire Monkey lames are the original, made in the USA lames. But they’re totally worth it! If you’ve struggled with scoring, I can guarantee that you won’t struggle with this lame!įor more information go to the Wire Monkey website. They’re not cheap, starting at $27.95 (I paid $35.95 for mine). What an ear! That was scored just this morning with the Corbeau lame! It’s a thing of beauty! With this lame, I feel incredibly confident in scoring my bread! Look at the results: So what’s the verdict? Okay… THIS LAME IS AN ABSOLUTE GAME-CHANGER! I love that I don’t have to worry about my attack angle as with a traditional lame, where I’d often catch the side of the razor blade because I laid the lame too parallel to the dough. Update : When I first received the lame the other day, I was right in the middle of a poolish ferment, and didn’t get to use it till this morning because I also did a 16-hour proof on the same dough. It is SO easy to hold and I feel as if I have so much more control over slashing while holding it! Its diameter is the same as the length of a razor blade, so when you’re not using it the razor blade tucks right into the lame. The shape of the lame is – in a word – perfect. One of my guitar’s fretboards is made of the material and it feels like ebony! So cool! I think it’s what’s known as Richlite TM which is a fantastic material. The Corbeau that I got is made from 100% recycled paper and food-safe resin. One of the cool things about Wire Monkey lames is that they’re all made from sustainable materials. The owners, Jon and Amanda, made a point of calling out this particular lame, so I checked out the Wire Monkey web site and got the UFO Corbeau. I first found out about this lame from a couple of Proof Bread videos on YouTube. It’s not safe, but I have much more confidence slashing with the blade held closer. This causes the side of the blade to catch on the skin of the bread, sometimes tearing it – eek! And though I’m much better at it than I was in the beginning, there have been times where I’ve just ended up removing the razor blade and slashing with the blade. One of the main issues I’ve had with the traditional lame is that I have a natural tendency to lay the lame down, parallel to the surface of the bread. I’ve been getting better at scoring, but in the back of my mind, I’ve felt the traditional lame is a bit unwieldy. To that effect, I’ve made my own lame and even purchased a gorgeous stainless steel “professional” lame. And having a good tool for scoring is super-important. Though I haven’t been doing artisan bread making for very long, I’ve come to understand that scoring is a really important step in the process to control the nature of the oven spring. What if we could re-cut it, so that it told “the full story”? And that full story just happened to be one a lot more pleasant and marketable than “watch these four brilliant guys hate each other”? That’d be a billion-dollar property, wouldn’t it? That’d make The Beatles something you could sell lock, stock and barrel to Disney for what, $100 billion? The January 1969 sessions are the one bit of the Beatles story which hasn’t been sanded smooth, because all the grimy footage and acrimonious tape was there for us to see/hear. All that footage would be a goldmine…if it didn’t show the group breaking up. The Get Back sessions are the one time (apart from Magical Mystery Tour) where the Beatles magic fizzled. That doesn’t makes anybody a liar…but it does inform how smart fans should be watching. Truth is whatever opens your pocketbook, and we have the editing equipment to make nearly any version of The Beatles you will pay for.Īlso? That quote from Jeff Jones shows exactly why this project happened. In the end, this is a rather Trumpian maneuver-“People say Get Back is fake news, but Let It Be is the real fake news!” Get Back is the Beatles for our post-truth era. I wanted to make a movie that fans, myself included, would enjoy more, and buy.” But Jackson doesn’t say that he claims to be telling the truth. It’s a very unflinching look at what goes on.”Ĭould not show? Why couldn’t Michael Lindsay-Hogg show anything? Who does Jackson think controlled every frame of Let It Be? Is he saying that The Beatles themselves wanted the 1970 movie to be a drag? Why? And doesn’t that fly in the face of what Lennon said in Lennon Remembers, about the film being edited to show “Paul as God”? In an attempt to justify his version of events, Jackson opens up a huge can of worms-rather than stating the obvious: “Bickering Beatles is a drag, especially to a big ol’ fan like me. It shows everything that Michael Lindsay-Hogg could not show in 1970. “But actually it’s almost the exact opposite. “Everyone sort of thinks it’s a whitewash” because the Beatles have authorized the film, Jackson said with a laugh. Right? It’s just pop culture about some hippies, so it doesn’t really matter, does it?Īt a music industry event last year, Jeff Jones, Apple Corps’ chief executive, promised that the new film would “ bust the myth” that these sessions were “the final nail in the Beatles’ coffin.” Yet Jackson said the band has had no influence over his work. The fact that Let It Be II: Yet More Bickering & Pimples would make billions less than a sunny revision of the sessions, that means nothing. Don’t let Let It Be, a film so redolent of bad vibes Apple never re-released it, color your opinion-this one looks so much better! Let Peter Jackson, self-professed Beatle nut, and his Magic Editing Machine tell you the story. Don’t let John and George’s opinion, consistent for the rest of their lives, sway you. Don’t look too closely at the torpor or weird bitterness. Just watch the boys do their Goon Show turns, but with long hair and strangely drawn visages. Fear not, subsequent generations raised on The Fabs (and especially Lennon) as harmless avatars of hippie “peace”! There’s no hard truths about drug use or sociopathy here. In other words…įear not, aging Boomers increasingly sentimental about your salad days! John, Paul, George and Ringo were as happy to be Beatles as you were to be their fans. Its big reveal is that, thanks to a new film, maybe the Get Back sessions weren’t utter misery (despite Lennon calling them “hell” and Harrison “the winter of our discontent”). Reading one of a flood of pre- Get Back reviews just now the premise of the piece, in The New York Times no less, is that the breakup of The Beatles had multiple causes and is a topic of debate even today among Beatle fans and scholars.
